The New Hyundai Santa Fe Gets A Boxy Makeover

July 19, 2023

Hyundai Motor Company has revealed its radically transformed all-new Santa Fe. The fifth-generation midsize SUV gets an unconventional design language featuring a boxy shape and a Land Rover-inspired silhouette, derived from its long wheelbase and wide tailgate area. This is Santa Fe’s first full model change since 2018.

The front of the vehicle gets a high hood, H-shaped headlamps and bold fenders. The H-shaped headlamps, H-motif lower front design and the H-shaped design elements, reinterpret Hyundai’s ‘H’ emblem.  Seen from the side, the lengthened wheelbase,  sharply defined wheel arches, shortened front overhang and 21-inch wheels, give the new Santa Fe a butch look. The rear end gets a squarish design to maximise boot space and headroom.

The all-new Santa Fe's interior offers class-leading space with fully foldable second and third-row seats for a wide variety of lifestyle purposes, such as grocery shopping, home improvement projects, sports and recreation, gardening, family outings and pet transportation.

The Land Rover-esque interior of the new Santa Fe emphasizes horizontal and vertical lines and is exemplified by a variety of high-tech features, including a panoramic curved Display, dual wireless charging, and a 12.3-inch digital cluster and infotainment system.

The SUV also incorporates a number of sustainable materials. The suede headliner, car mats, and second-and third-row seatbacks are recycled plastic, while the crash pad and door trim covers are made from eco-friendly leatherette.

The all-new Santa Fe will make its world premiere in August on Hyundai’s YouTube channel.
